It hasn't been completed yet
And even after it's completed, I see no reason why it should be celebrated.
What exactly is there to celebrate lol

I'm neither disagreeing nor agreeing with you. Because it's just a flyover and there are bigger things to be celebrated than minor stuff like this I won't lie, I'd have celebrated this say 1 year ago but those days don pass Why rejoice about this when in Lagos alone, we have Eko Atlantic Dangote refinery Badagry seaport Lekki seaport I want to see bigger projects, I want to see investments, industries setting up shop ati beebe lo But regardless, this is good. We need good roads, flyover bridges and stuff but it shouldn't be celebrated It's basic stuff

How many people live in Oshogbo that we need a flyover bridge? It appears flyover is now a status symbol now o?
Though it's been over 8 years since I was in Oshogbo last sha. So population may have dramatically in creased.

I think it should primarily be a functional thing. In a state like Osun with scarce resources aesthetics should be a secondary consideration. If it's not necessary ATM, we shouldn't be wasting resources on stuff just so we can have bragging rights.

I am going to have to see the feasibility study undertaken for this project before taking a position on it.

The question here should be - Were there needs for flyovers in the past and the previous governments never put them in place?
I guess the need for one recently arose and the government of the day responded appropriately.
But o gaa gan fun Ipinle Osun sha o! I must defend her shaa anyhow anyhow, na my state. T'eni n t'eni...

We Nigerians in particular or the Black in general are special breeds. I don't just know what we want. If dem do we go complain and if dem no do, we go still complain. Are we saying government should fold their hands and not do anything because there is hunger in the land? People are already celebrating that road because it has opened up the whole place for opportunities. A friend of mine said their family's land is very close to one of the roads linking the fly-over that very soon they are going to make fortune because that place has been opened up.
Which one do we want? Do a seemingly "not-needed" projects or embezzle the money? We need to pick an option.
Whether this project is noteworthy or not is a matter of perception.
Those who were abusing Amosun of constructing 5 flyovers in Abeokuta then are the ones taking selfies at the same fly-overs now. Such is life.
Don't mind me, I just wanna talk to myself.
