IrekeOnibudo ,I saw this article as well and trust me It was a thought-provoking article
A lot of people are complaining about Amosun.Besides wooing investors which I don't even think is as a result of his tactics,he hasn't really done much If you ask me
but what do I know?I don't reside in Ogun state so I'm probably relying on what I've heard or the little information available on the internet

Sometimes I don't think we as followers really understand our needs. Last year, I was reading about the flyover at Ibara in Abeokuta and I promised to go round the town when next I had the opportunity of visiting there. I actually did and I was impressed. I have always belonged to a school of thought that why must everything be about food. People are talking about the need to provide food instead of bridges but I ask them how will you get to where you'll get your food if there are no good roads? The guy saw a need and he is trying to fill it. Now Abeokuta and some important towns in the state are now wearing a new look courtesy of the flyovers. Today, I passed by Ijebu Ode and I saw the flyover built on the Sagamu - Benin expressway. I could remember one Ileya when at least 18 people were killed at that interchange. He has extended some of the roads in Abeokuta to about 6-lanes. So exactly what do they want him to do again?

My major grouse with Amosun is on the issue of open governance and that's why I admitted I'm probably ignorant of what's going on..When IrekeOnibudo told me Amosun is one of the best governors the south-west has seen since Lateef jakande,I was shocked because we outside the country can't see what's going on.Interesting to know you're familiar with the state
Posting pictures of what he has done won't be a bad idea at all.I'm surely banking on you

I didn't want to rely on hearsay because there was too much politics going on. I started from Ojeere where Moshood Abiola Polytechnic was situated. Moved down to Panseke - Ibara roundabout - Ita Eko - Totoro - Ago Oba - Odo Oyo - Itoku - Sapon - Ijaye - Iyana Mortuary (lol) - Abiola Way all in Abeokuta metropolis. There are two flyovers that were strategically built in Ijebu Ode. It's a pity that I don't fancy pictures. The funniest thing is that my former boss went to Abeokuta and came back with a lot of pictures. He was dazzled with what he saw and he started cursing the duo of Ekiti and Ondo governors.

Amosun opens Ogun’s first flyover
thenationonlineng.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Flyover-in-Ogun.jpg
Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun yesterday opened the first flyover bridge in the state since its creation in 1976.
The 2.4km dual carriage bridgecost N1.5 billion. It was opened at 1:30pm in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The four-lane overhead bridge begins at the end of Lalubu Road and opens into the elaborate international standard six-lane Ibara-Totoro Road, which cost N1.3billion, with modern features, such as drains, median, greenbelt, walkway, street lamps, modern bus-stop and an air-conditioned pedestrian bridge. The pedestrian bridge cost N260 million.
Amosun said the flyover was in fulfilment of his electoral promises.
He said the bridge would ease the movement of goods and services.
The governor said: “Our goal is to put our state in the league of advanced economies and make it the investors’ destination of choice, not only in Nigeria, but sub-Saharan Africa.
“To achieve this, we will continue to rehabilitate existing infrastructure and construct high-tech infrastructure that will enhance the magnificence of our environment and act as a catalyst for socio-economic development.
“I thank residents for their support and sacrifices for this project, especially those whose property gave way to the beautiful edifices that we are building across the state.
“I urge you to exercise more patience and continue to support the administration in its mission to rebuild Ogun.”
Amosun urged the Organised Private Sector to take advantage of the “enabling business environment” in the state and partner the government on wealth creation.
He hailed the efforts of past administrations, especially that of former Governor Olusegun Osoba’s.
The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Lekan Adegbite, said the flyover and every project in the state complied with the “Ogun Standard”.
He cited the Ibara-Totoro road as an example of an “Ogun Standard” road, adding that the project would be replicated in the three senatorial districts.
In their goodwill messages, former Head of the Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan, National Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Chief Bisi Akande, ACN National Leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Ogun ACN Leader Osoba praised the achievements of the Amosun administration in urban renewal.
Tinubu described Amosun as “an actualiser of our dream and vision”.
Osoba said: “This is the first time I am seeing such a large number of past Ogun governors at a government event.”
Chairman of Ogun Traditional Council Dr. Adedotun Gbadebo likened the event to the day electricity, pipe-borne water and railway came to Abeokuta. He said: “Amosun has changed the city from the status of 19th century to the 21st century.”
Also at the event were former governors of Ogun and Ekiti states, former and serving federal and state lawmakers, the state chief judge, top government officials, traditional rulers, businessman, media executives, town unions, community development associations, labour unions, market women, non-governmental organisations and students, among others. thenationonlineng.net/amosun-opens-oguns-first-flyover/
