Verity Africa goes on another adventure with Cara 'Titilayo' Oyinbo as we visit Igbo-Ora, Oyo State, Nigeria. Studies have shown that Igbo-Ora has the largest incidence of twins in the world (three sets of twins are born in every 19 births). The locals believe that the village's high incidence of twins is due to their high consumption of Ilasa (okra leaf). Verity and Titilayo go on location to investigate this belief. What was their finding?

What was their finding? Ilasa now. Has anyone had the good fortune to sample this delicacy yet? I know that other studies have zeroed-in on our consumption of yam as a potential factor, a fact that suggests the jury may is somewhat conflicted Either way, it's all good though - Orisa Ibeji knows something academia has not quite figured out yet.
