Ogbeni Ogunnaike , jericho and eleyele are easily 2 of the most beautiful parts of Ibadan I have a question for you so I'll create a separate thread for that or if you like you can create it. It's about Aso-ebi whether it has it's origins in Yorubaland or whether it's just the name Yorubas call it You are right, just look at that picture of Jericho. Ibadan can actually look quite nice, once the roofing starts changing, and the inner city roads start getting tarred and paved. The inner parts will look like a really beautiful historic Arab or European city quarters. They ground may even be made of cobblestones..... no be by force to tarr everything. The outside parts will look more in touch with modernity like a city in the Americas. You can go on and create the Aso-Ebi thread.

In fact, if I had the means (like say I was as rich as Dangote or Adenuga ), I won't mind changing all the roofing for that Old section of Ibadan, FOR FREE! That alone would instantly change the look of the city for the better.

Judging from what elu said, it seems the owners aren't interested in demolishing those structures Where in Ibadan is this church you posted located?

Who no like that kind thing ? check the Akure thread I don't know whether they cost more but it seems bricks are cheaper in Nigeria since it's not really high in demand
