He said “Looking forward in the next couple of weeks, the Dome will be back along this corridor and this place will be the commercial hub of sort. At the end of all these, our people will be gainfully engaged and the multiplier effect on our economy will truly be great. The excitement is not just having the Akure Mall, but about the opportunity for our local retailers to ply their trade and also about the opportunity for a supply chain that will originate from this state.” Earlier in his speech, the Chief Executive Officer of Top Services Limited, the developer of the Mall, Mr Tokunbo Omisore appreciated Governor Mimiko for providing enabling environment for the project and also for fast-tracking every aspect of the contract agreement. Ondo Swears in 4 new commissioners December 11, 2015
Akure —GOVERNOR Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state yesterday sworn in four new Commissioners with an advise to their friends and family members not to put undue pressure on them.
He said that the advise became imperative because” this is not the best of times in the country.
The four commissioners are Femi Adekanbi who hails from Owo in Owo local government area, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju from Araromi Obu in Odigbo local government area, Dayo Awude from Iluabo in Akure north and Segun Ayerin from Ilutuntun Osoro in Okitipupa council area of the state.
Dr Mimiko said “I want to urge the family members and friends not to put undue pressure on them, as this will in no small measure assist them in putting their best to the service of our dear Sunshine State.
He however dispelled the speculations that the delay in filling the vacancies in the State Executive Council was a deliberate design to deprive some sector or group of people of their representation in the Executive Council.
