Honorebu , that's MKO Abiola stadium in the background? I'm not sure If the festival is happening in Abeokuta, then that's it

I think it's pretty obvious to any keen observer that Ogun state is the fastest developing state in the SW (outside Lagos), no thanks to her proximity to Lasgidi and of course her agressive industrialization drive. Oyo state on the other hand need to desperately do something to attract investments to equally finance rapid development.

I swear Ogun state government sucks in updating their flickr and instagram profiles...the person who is in charge of that...smdh.Anyways, that's the best picture I could find of Omida Modern Market. It's not bad tho. My brother irohin ko to afoju ba. That picture you put up there for Omida is doing injustice to what is on the ground. I was in Abeokuta early this month and I went round all those projects to be sure. That building up there is one of the 4 of such. Very close to it is another blocks of residential flats. When I enquire about why would they build houses in a market, I was told that originally the place belongs to a woman called Cash Madam and her houses were affected by the construction. So the government have to build a befitting ones in place of the old ones. My problem now is who are the people that are going to rent this place? These shopping malls now litter all the markets that were affected by the urban renewal programs. Can the old occupants who are mostly affected be able to afford these new malls?

I like some of those old historical buildings...they just need some paint and it should be good to go Ironically this is the church where "Reformed Ogboni Confraternity" was launched in 1915.

This was formerly Gateway Hotel Kuto Abeokuta. The hotel was concessioned to Chief Adebutu popularly called Baba Ijebu. To be candid, money was 'buried' in this hotel.

This is lagos not ogun state. What you'll find in ogun are green cabs no yellow buses (Danfo).
