Good job Alagba Elu.
I witnessed several Edi Festivals while growing up in Ife. I remember there were some guys that used to wear white clothes with some mirrors.
Yeah, they used to keep vigil at Olodo compound during the festival. There are some Chiefs in the compound who participate in the festival annualy.
Isese Lagba.
Interesting.

Unfortunately, most parts of this festival, during Sijuade's term, were gradually eroded and Sijuade became occupies with so many other things that mattered to him so much that he stopped participating in the festival as an Ooni should. Only the compounds involced so it but on a way smaller scale.

Interesting.
I've witnessed many Edi Festivals when I was in Ife.
Ooni became confused when he claimed he'd given his life to Jesus in year 2007 or so. Imagine an Ooni giving his life to Jesus? The same life that belongs to the Gods. What an irony.
I pray God grants the new Ooni long life. I hope he'll not be too involved in politics like the late Ooni and promotes our Culture, Tradition and Festivals.
Isese Still Triumphs. I laughed when I saw Christians and Mumslims bashing themselves on a particular thread in nl few days ago. 106 Christians converted to Islam and it became a news. Dem dey fight untop foreign religions. Dem dey craze
Ibile Lawa. Isese La Gba.
