dansoye1 and @omoluabi Trust me when I say Ekiti people don't forget and forgive easily. Ask Fayemi. That's my state, but dem stubborn pass igi iroko. They won't forget this incident come the next election. I really don't feel sorry for them. They voted for stomach infrastructure, let them enjoy it. I was just wondering if this move by Fayose is legal....but since someone pointed it, everything is legal in Nigeria. Just as we're trying to diversify Nigeria's economy, I hope our people will start looking into the business aspect and stop depending on civil servant jobs. We Ekiti people no dey do owambes much, so I hope they save their money to invest in business. It's so sad......the psyche of the average Nigerian has been so bastardized that only his stomach counts. When will salvation come? Salvation will come when 1. There's a drastic reduction in civil servants 2. When we diversify our economy by ourselves 3. When we start developing our own land and stop waiting for governors to build things like Mall, tutoring center, SPAs, etc 4. When we stop praising mediocrity 5. When we start shooting them down one by one like target practice. I prefer going straight to #5, but we can start with 1.

Is this legal? Or even possible? We were actually victims of this at the federal level while I was working in NITEL under TRANSCORP. We were being owed about 17 months' salary and we got to know that we the then MD was getting N14million monthly and the company lawyer N2.5million when they told us that there was no money. We planned an all-out war on them but they promptly paid us 3 months' arrears on Friday before Monday show down. We were celebrating throughout the weekend until we got to our various banks on Monday and found out that they have withdrawn the cheque. Those people are heartless. The worst part of it is that they would do it in connivance with some of the leadership of the suffering workers. God help us in this country.

I always believe that one day, there will be a trigger and what I called "national anger" that will propel each and every one of us to "cleanse" the land off "locusts". On that day, we will neither fear guns nor bombs and we will sacrifice them to atone for their "sins". And finally, the whole country would be reset and our eldorado shall start because people will be afraid to steal. Remember what the people did to Bashorun Gaa when they could not stomach his excesses further.

How do families survive without their paycheck. Do banks loan them money? How are these people supposed to have peace of mind, talk less of caring about their children's performance in school?

I don't know if the current Nigerian has the spirit to cleanse our political sector. We'll all have to come together, else one group will be targeted and easily disarmed like IPOD/Boko Haram/ND Militants. For #5 to work, we'll all have to work together. Or......... If only boko harams and ND militants can take their anger out on these politicians and leave innocent people alone. Until then, they'll be alone in their fight. Our politicians don't really care about these groups because they're not being targeted. Once they start feeling the ends of our arrows, they'll start doing the right thing.

That is why I said there will be a trigger that will warrant the "national anger". We will all be united and all of us will find ourselves on the road with any weapon without any support from anybody. We will just be united to do away with the locusts in our midst. OccupyNigeria in 2012 came closed to getting us angry but the politicians hijacked it to their advantage. Now, that opportunity will not come as every yam eater will be hunted down. We will make their lives miserable that if there is another world, they won't dare to come to Nigeria.

Just Kidding, I know things ought to change, govt ought not to be the major employer but what is the option B as at today... If the junks we are importing were to be produced here, 30-40% would be taken care of & if power problem could be resolved, another 30% will be taken off... Unilever I heard sometime ago are now trucking in MOST of their products from Ghana/Ivory Coast cos the cost of Diesel(+ gen procurement/maintainance) is making it almost impossible to break even.... Government policies...
