Chief Emmanuel Olatunji Adesoye, OON the Asiwaju of Offa, is the Chairman of Adesoye Group Holdings. It is a conglomerate of various companies, engaged in businesses ranging from oil and gas, to travel, consultancy, steelworks, education, plastics, furniture, engineering construction and insurance. His most popular subsidiary is Okin Biscuits, located in Ijagbo area of Offa, in Kwara State. Okin Biscuits unlike Tate and Lyle, Nigerian Sugar Company and other companies that went into early extinction, thrived and surprisingly survived the unfriendly economic policies, during the long period of military rule in the country. Today, the company is being offered for sale at a total cost of $20 million USD. It stopped production in 2007. Chief Adesoye also set up the Adesoye College in Offa, Kwara State - a co-educational, private, boarding school with high standards of education, in 1987. Adesoye College has earned a reputation, as one of the most prestigious schools in Nigeria. Parents who have had their children trained at the college include former presidents, serving governors, ministers and others in similar positions of authority. But another of his subsidiaries called Supasteel is doing quite well in the engineering sector. Supasteel Limited is a wholly indigenous engineering, procurement and construction company, specializing in steel fabrication, mechanical and piping installations, as well as the repair and maintenance of static and rotary equipment, for process plants. Their technical partners include Messrs BIS Dinafit SRL of Romania, Monticor Industries SA, and MB Engineering Services of Scotland. One of the outcomes of this successful partnership, resulted in the restoration of the damaged reactor, re-generator, orifice chamber and flue gas re-boiler of the Fluid Catalytic Cracker (FCC) unit, of the Port Harcourt Refinery which was damaged in an explosion at line up for service, a few years back.

Jadesola Adedeji is a British-trained pharmacist. After working for SmithKline Beecham Plc as well as GlaxoSmithKline Plc (GSK) both in Nigeria and the UK, she relocated to Canada for a few years, where she set up her own pharmacy outlet in conjunction with a friend. Her outlet which was known as The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, grew quickly and was a hit with family and friends in Canada. After a while, her husband chose to move back to Nigeria, so she sold the business for a healthy profit, and came back home. The thought of going back into pharmacy did not seem too appealing, so she looked for other options. She found out that an American company called Brickz for Kidz wanted to set up shop in West Africa. They found a willing partner in Jade Adedeji, and she was promptly given the Nigerian franchise. Today, Jade runs Brickz for Kidz, an after-school programme that takes learning beyond the classroom, and allows kids to broaden their education in a non-traditional setting. They teach subjects like Robotics and Advanced Robotics classes! Kids learn how to build a motorized model, and watch it come to life using simple LEGO® WeDo® software. Once their skills improve, the children are encouraged to advance to LEGO® EV3 Mindstorms® classes for more challenging robot-building and programming! Now, Jade Adedeji has switched careers to become a technology coach. Her company started the programme in January 2014 with about 5 schools, but today 12 schools have signed up for the programme. About 700 children attend the after-school programme, and the holiday camps they run. This is a hands-on class where students build machines, buildings, vehicles and other structures out of LEGO bricks, using one-of-a-kind model plans designed by Bricks 4 Kidz. While exploring principles of engineering, architecture, physics and more, pupils develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. The kids are taught how to build a new project each week. Each class begins with a teacher-led discussion related to the day’s model. Once the project is completed, children use the rest of their time, to expand their gadgets and collaborate with one another. Their students work in a lab-type setting using LEGO components such as gears, axles and beams. Instructional content is multi-disciplinary and designed by educators to increase pupils’ general knowledge and introduce S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) concepts related to the day’s model. Jadesola Adedeji is passionate about children's education and she constantly seeks to teach people, how transformations in global education, are linked to rising costs, mental health, career choices & acquiring non traditional skills, that in today's world! Jade Adedeji the enterprising daughter of Bashorun Ogunmiloro, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that today's parents get the message!
