Not as a patient, I hope.

Not as a patient, I hope. Nope, I wasn't a patient. Infact, I went there to visit a spinal cord injury patient. She is back on her feet now. Honorebu, this is why I laugh at you each time you tagged me with APC. I was with an Ondo woman yesterday who was seriously cursing her kinsman-Mimiko- accusing him of not doing anything for his home town. Among several things, I told the woman that what Mimiko has done in Ondo town would last the town for some years to come. You know what happened thereafter, the woman accused me of being a paid PDP supporter. That place above is a real Medical Village by name and all standards. Just 10 days ago, we took my mother-in-law to OAU Teaching Hospital which is a federal institution. Surprisingly, we were referred to Ondo Trauma Centre to carry out a CT-Scan and some other tests on her because the one they have in the hospital has broken down. Infact, I was very proud to tell them that we actually came from Ondo; that if not for the strike embarked upon by the health workers, we wouldn't have come to them. That is second time Mimiko is affecting me personally. The first time was when I took my last son to the Mother and Child there for jaundice. My wife spent 6 days there and you won't believe how much we spent - just N1,000 - for the 2 tests that was carried out on the boy. While there, they brought a boy who had fainted to the hospital. If you see the scene at the Mother and Child emergency ward on that particular day, you would think that you're in a foreign land. The way the doctors were running around to save the boy, putting him on oxygen and eventually revived the boy, I was seriously amazed. May God bless Mimiko for putting in place world-class health facilities in Ondo town. I'm only worried about the maintenance of that place after he might have left. That is the kind of signature/legacy projects I want to see from our governors. Fashola has many of it in Lagos like the Lekki Bridge and others, Tinubu did his own with sustaining Lagos state without federal allocations for almost 3 years, Baba Akande did his own by constructing the Secretariat in Abere Osogbo and opening up so many rural communities with roads that outlast his administration; Amosun and Aregbesola are doing the same in Ogun and Osun states respectively with infrastructure. Ajimobi did one in Mokola Flyover because all other flyovers in Ibadan were constructed by the FG. So that is why you don't see me being too critical of our governors because I can feel them in some ways. They are not perfect just like everyone of us, they can do more but accusing them of doing nothing, is a no-no for me. Cheers.

I've never called you an APC guy nau. You and Honorebu be lying on me Lol I'm excited about this o. In fact, make I start claiming Ondo After Lagos, is Ondo the only SW state with such services? Lagos don't have those kind of facilities because I was told that even from Lagos, they do refer to Trauma here in Ondo. If you want confirmation for what is popularly called state-of-the-art health services, come to Ondo Medical Village. Let me give you an instance, when you get to the Diagnostic Centre for a test, they will welcome you and make you feel at home. They will then proceed to give you your bill for the services. If you're ready, they tell you which room to go for the next operation. On getting there, the staff there would just welcome you by saying Aunty Labake welcome to our centre, you can submit your sample here but please go to room so so so and so for payment. On getting there, the cashier will also welcome you by calling you by your first name and the familiarity goes on and on. Ain't that fantastic? The only problem there is that it's too expensive for our folks here but is it not our elders that say "Obe to dun, owo lo pa"? In the picture you posted above, if you have shown the surgical wards for male and female, you would have seen that it is no different from the old picture of UCH you posted on another thread. The only difference I see there is the white female nurse.

I felt special and it even increased my trust in his service. Tiny thing like that makes service great, Nigerians don't understand ==> That's what we call medical user experience. And it's cheap? I'm impressed. Hope dem no dey strike sha.

They don't allow blacks to carry out some sensitive tests. I kind of like their health management system they are using. Well they are mostly India and you can't divorce Indians from IT. They sure have a way with that field.

Anyway, Oga, why didn't you take pictures when you went nau?
