At Mydrim Gallery
As close as you can get to the real deal, that’s what hits you when you look at Olumide Oresegun works as he lights up the Mydrim Gallery with over 20 realistic paintings
Olumide told Channels Television that the simple things of life inspires him to paint, so he captures a lot of children in most of his works either playing, sleeping, drumming or engaged in other activities.
With strokes so real that one could touch, the talented young artist has made himself a hand to watch in the industry.
Olumide graduated from Yaba College of Technology in 2005 with a distinction in painting. He has participated in several exhibitions in Nigeria and abroad.
He won several awards such as Best Life Drawing Student 2002; 1st Prize Winner Pendulum Gallery 2004 competition; 3rd Prize Winner Goethe Institute in 2006; overall best student in School of Art, Design and Printing 2005 and many other laurels and it shows.
This is Olumide’s second solo exhibition the first was in this same gallery in 2011.

Simply breathtaking
His works look like the colored version of Olga melamory's works but unfortunately the artworld doesn't really appreciate photorealists.Hopefully he will make a name for himself in Nigeria where people seem to appreciate his work
