Personally, I think you should focus on making sure your scalp is healthy. Healthy scalp means healthy growth.

@sisi eko. I have always wondered how castor oil serves as a conditioning treatment. I thought that the only oils that penetrate the strands are olive/coconut while the others coat the strands. So how does it have a conditioning effect? It does and it will penetrate hair/ make it grow faster if heated. Every other weekend I do this routine. 1. Heat water in an electric warmer 2. In a small bowl, I mix castor oil, coconut oil and olive oil. 3. Add the hot water in a bigger bowl and put the small bowl of oil in it. It warms up the oil so that it can penetrate hair. Worked well for my hair. I leave it for hours. I don't do this often because it's time consuming. Castor oil is a magic wand. It penetrates hair cuticle like magic. I started using it for my eyelashes about two months ago. My lashes are grewwwww. Before I hated wearing mascara, now I can't leave my house without applying it. Don't under estimate Castor oil. I posted this earlier.

yorubachic , Welcome to the family. If you have any question, please don't hesitate to ask. Oh...I have a lot o. Been natural since last year March and my hair is growing but not that much because I rarely use any products, everything is expensive, lol. Me I'm an akagum why waste so much money on hair when I have other needs. So I just wash with normal shampoo and conditioner and use shea butter. That's my routine. Is there any other less expensive way to promote hair growth? No please. Not normal shampoo ever. If you live in Nigeria use dudu Osun instead or any other black soap...not Ghana "bleaching" soap sha o. For deep conditioning there are a lot of home recipes that are effective and inexpensive. My favourites is banana and avocado and any oil of your choice.I usually use olive oil. (Though with what dollar is talking now, olive oil is now becoming gold o.....saw a I lt bottle of evo for N3k today!)
