Honorebu , This couldn't have come at a better time than now. Thanks to a governor with foresight. As for how the charter works you want to read this:http://www.ogunstate.gov.ng/media-centre-66/ogun-news/oguns-homeowners-charter-programme.html I've seen the link but It doesn't explain how the state generates wealth from it.I know it makes it cheaper for people who want to acquire land but the confusing bit of it is the wealth generation aspect.

Don't know maybe razid can help in that regard. Since it's a very good initiative going by all the things I've heard.I believe other south-west states should follow suit
This is why regional integration is very important. All south-west states have one or two things to learn from each other
For example me think that OYES in Osun state should have been implemented in other South-west states If there was regional co-operation
That's another beautiful project. Those Agricultural villages in Ondo state can also be built in other South-west states
Everyone just needs to swallow his pride
The only South-west state with no initiative and nothing to learn from for now is Ekiti and to some extent Oyo

I don't know how successful Aregbe will be with his employment of tax marshalls to boost IGR but it looks
like a potentially brilliant idea.Let's see how that works

What you put up there is what we've been encapsulating all along.Needless to add more. I don't think they will come off their high horse and work together now perhaps such will happen when oil price fall below 20/barrel.

Honorebu , What do you suggest we do in the immediate to bring our governors together. There's no immediate solution to that.We have to wait till 2019.DAWN tried their best but it hasn't worked. The first step is for APC to capture Ondo and Ekiti States and then we can take it from there.Even tho Mimiko is doing well, I wouldn't want him to continue because of the bigger benefit of having a one-party region. It's all about sacrifice lol

Can't we get together unless we are in the same party? Well, if that is what will make us come together and move forward ,then I'm in full support.

I have to say that this is a good time to buy land and to invest in realty, that in of itself, can generate wealth for our region.
What types of jobs are the youths doing in this scenario?

I doubt they'll let our people build these expensive houses. They'll probably hire foreigners and "employ" our boys to carry around umbrellas for awon oyinbo. Honestly, why black people like this. I hope our boys are given their respective positions (engineers, construction workers, architects etc).

I don't think so.In Naija people hardly hire foreigners to build houses except for some crazy architecture and that's even rare For the most part, youths are the ones who do the job.Shey na whitey wan mix konkere ni or plastering and painting The only area I suspect this is happening is in the manufacturing sector. Its safe to say Ogun state has the most factories in Nigeria. If you look at the population of the state and the number of factories there, you'll expect the state to have nothing less than 95% employment rate but chances are most of the factories are being run by foreigners

Are our youths not willing to do the job or are government taking our education money, but not trusting us to do the job right? Yoruba people are smart! Gbabe! They're excelling outside of Nigeria. Our governors need to trust us to run these companies and factories. They should trust our local factories. Oyibo no be everything. Oyibo people are worst scammers than Nigeria when it comes to building infrastructures in black lands.

Like you, I honestly don't understand the correlation between homeowner charter and diversifying an economy that's heavily dependent on oil or wealth creation. The whole thing looks like housing ponzi scheme of the Clinton era in America - that later became a curse when the global economy crashed. I think it's more of a scenario whereby they're trying to "attract" or "create" a middle class as the population from Lagos flows into the state. However, how would the state government generate funds and create wealth from this, especially if the houses are going to be based on mortgage - or are they selling them outrightly, with the state government diversifying into real estate? Personally, I'd wager that the state government focused on developing infrastructures in the state - under a well planned structure, to entice investors, as the population flows in. Rather than get entangled in housing, which won't be profitable on the long run. Nigeria is too broke for that right now. The wealth of the state would come from investors.
