Utterly disgusting and horrifying! How can people live like this? What I don't understand is why these people aren't the ones chasing up parasites like that "oba" so they can lynch him for what his greed has robbed them of; is it that they're simply too uneducated to know what was on offer and who drove the investment away, or something else? Is this "oba" actually a local gang-leader in traditional garb, with an army of thugs ready to intimidate the ordinary people? Because I can't understand how any respectable traditional ruler can be driving around in fancy cars while his subjects live in squalor and degradation.

Akeredolu lobbies Buhari for seaport in Ondo
Although the meeting between the President and Governor Akeredolu was held under closed-door, the governor in an interview with the State House Correspondents said that establishing seaport in Ondo state would boost non oil export activities. He said, “We are asking that the country takes advantage of the natural resources in Ondo state and we have a seaport that is very germane to our export activities. “In particular our mineral deposits which we have in large number and then we need to have a deep sea manning port and Ondo states is well suited for it. So we impressed thus on Mr. President on what we believe will be a lasting legacy if we are able to accomplish it in his own time.” On what was the volume of mineral resources being exported through other ports that would warrant a deep seaport in Ondo state, he said, “You just look at the volume of natural resources that we are exporting through any port in Nigeria. “The total volume is still not so high, the moment it gets high we will need a deep seaport where we will even have a modern ship to berth. We do not have any where in this country today where big ship can berth, not in Lagos or Calabar. “That is why what you see is that so many of the ships will berth in the high sea while the smaller ones will be used to take the goods there or bring the goods from the ship. And that is why we need a deep seaport where the biggest ship in the world can berth and that is Ondo state.” Read more at: www.vanguardngr.com/2017/10/akeredolu-lobbies-buhari-seaport-ondo/Shymmex, Interloper, iyalode, Moffy, OmoOba, Iya Niyen!, Omoluabi, dansoye1, Belmot, osoronga, Omo Oba of the Source, Her Highness, IrekeOnibudo, ioannes, laudate, oduabachanal, stblack, zaynie, ilaje2015, omohayek, AgbongboAkala, Ogbeni Ogunnaike, aparo, black, colonial pikin, skylar, cocoafarmer, missy89, ibk, Merchantt, lontoro, isalegangan, yorumigrant, ajanaku, sholeybanty, ayodejilara, oloyesaso, sakur, ritchiee, mignone, honeychild, Short_Biscuit, amorere, donphilosophy, governor, irewande, isholapecham, ola, olugbenga86, taiwo, loadofs, ijeshaboy, tomtoxic, imodoye, camronaija, ayekooto, dehinde, fado, scully95, tunde, ayo, omoba, tallwolleh, mankind, anago, egbaknight, oduastates, atandaniyi, ayxmania, omoolowokanbati, sapiodunamis, blaqcoffee109, fluteman, olukumi, sesinu, araabeokuta, qreem231,

I like this. Like Honorebu said, I hope they see it through. SW region needs to be able to generate nothing less than 20,000MW of electricity to meet her industrialization needs and drive. So far I think our region has an installed capacity of about 3,500MW or thereabout. With this added to that, it should hit approximately 4,000MW. I understand that Ghana's total installed capacity is 2,703MW, while Benin Republic is about 450MW (ironically, Nigeria supplies Benin Rep. with 200MW of power, and supplies Ghana with the bulk of the gas it uses to power her plants), and these countries enjoy relatively better and more stable electricity distribution and supply.
